We recommend placing material orders in advance and in quantities that prevent expiration for optimal efficiency.

When preparing samples for submission to Vedis, please ensure to:

  1. Include the exam request form with the following information:
  • Identification of the patient (species, age, sex, race) and guardian;
  • Sample collection technique, material sent and exams requested;
  • Anatomical location and a complete description of the injury;
  • Relevant clinical history and clinical suspicion.

2) Identify the slides/slide holders/bottles/containers with:

  • The name of the animal;
  • The location (if several samples are sent from different locations simultaneously).

3) Place the exam request form and samples in a double pouch bag.

  • For greater safety, exams of different animals must be individualized in different double pouch bags.
  • Cytology and histology samples must always be placed in separate double pouch bags, even if they belong to the same animal.

4) Place all exams in the Vedis transport bag.
